The We Impact office is operated by KATE Umwelt & Entwicklung e.V..
The office is the first point of contact for anyone interested in We Impact. It provides information about the system, offers training and qualification courses for impact auditors/assessors, for example, is the registration office and continues to develop the We Impact system in collaboration with the Strategy Advisory Board and the network.

The We Impact seal provider
KATE Environment & Development
KATE Environment & Development is a non-profit educational and consulting organization based in Stuttgart and is the seal provider and owner of the trademark rights to the We Impact seal. For over 20 years, KATE has been supporting companies on their way to sustainable business, qualifying specialists and managers and advising on the implementation and maintenance of environmental, climate and sustainability management systems. As the holder of the We Impact seal, KATE sees the brand and the system as a joint project. In cooperation with the Strategy Advisory Board, KATE aims to promote and disseminate holistic sustainable business practices.
How did We Impact come about?
From vision to reality: the story of how We Impact came about
We Impact was developed on behalf of and with the support of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection (BMUV) by KATE Umwelt und Entwicklung e.V. in collaboration with Arqum GmbH.
The We Impact system was designed as part of the research project "Conceptualization and development of a sustainability management system in the form of an EMAS+sustainability module" (FKZ UM 21140010; 08/2021-10/2024). It was developed in dialogue with numerous stakeholders and representatives from ministries, companies and business associations, science, nature conservation and environmental protection organizations as well as EMAS stakeholders and auditors and is continuously being further developed.
Our aim is to create a comprehensive, credible and certifiable sustainability management system. The system should enable companies and organizations to anchor sustainability in their operations, to live it and to continuously improve it.
